Sustainability Manager
Role
As Sustainability Manager you will be supporting the Head of Sustainability in the strategy development, creation, implementation and expectation management of the sustainability objectives for civil Sisk projects and sites across Ireland.
This is an onsite position where you will be working between regional sites and offices across Ireland.
Sisk are committed to continuing in their leadership of sustainable and responsible construction across Ireland and are excited to be making this addition to the Irish Civils Sustainability Team.
Key Responsibilities
- To conduct and report on regular site audits, inspections, investigations, identifying opportunities for development and ensuring that all locations are compliant with agreed internal standards.
- Maintain and develop knowledge of changes and developments in sustainability standards as well as initiating change and providing training, coaching and guidance to onsite teams and business unit stakeholders.
- Utilise, review and maintain the Sustainability Management System.
- Orchestrate Sustainability Start Up meetings on site.
- Support the Head of Sustainability and Business Stakeholders in tender submissions, audit preparation.
- Encouraging and being a key instigator in the continuous improvement of sustainability across the Sisk business.
We are currently responsible for multiple projects across the Irish region and are continuing to grow and develop new projects with long-term, stable, career development opportunities.
Qualifications required
- 3rd level qualification in a relevant subject e.g. Sustainability etc.,
- IEMA (Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment) Membership AIEMA or higher, an advantage but not compulsory
- 4+ years of experience in an environmental or sustainability leadership position
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
