Obstetrician / Gynecologist - ! Physician - (Obstetrics / Gynecology - OB Gyn) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 40 Hours/Week
Hospital system in northern New Jersey is seeking an Obstetrician to cover a full time schedule with a 1 in 4 weekend call coverage rotation. Locum tenen would provide support to two clinics and the hospital while they recruit for a permanent physician. All three facilities are approximately 20 minutes from each other. Locum would be required to perform deliveries and provide support for all obstetric procedures.
Obstetrics/gynecology(locum tenens) focuses on women's health, caring for pregnant women during child birth and diagnosing and treating conditions of the female anatomy, specifically the reproductive system. An OB/GYN physician diagnoses and provides treatment for medical conditions such as breast and cervical cancer, urinary tract disorders, and hormonal ailments. These physicians also assist and treat pregnant women throughout t! heir pregnancies, regularly monitoring the patient's progress ! and, in many cases, delivering babies and examining newborns.
Required Qualifications
Locums will be required to perform deliveries including C-sections. Call coverage requires that the physician be within 20 minutes of the hospital.
