Library Guard (Summer Position)


 

Post Summary-
The Book of Kells and Old Library receive over a million visitors a year with most visiting in the busy summer months. The person appointed will be part of a team of Library Guards. They will be capable of working in a very busy environment, capable of the physical demands of patrolling the Old Library building, providing security for the Library Shop and the library’s collections, and assisting in building evacuations and other health and safety matters, when necessary.
Post status: Fixed-Term Contract, Summer (4 months)
Hours of Post: 39 hours per week
Salary: This appointment will be made on the Fortnightly Library Guard salary scale ( €1,180.92 - €1,347.68 per fortnight) at a point in line with current Government pay policy. monthly/weekly payscales. (tcd.ie)
