Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm!
Job Details: Position Responsibilities: Assist MD/CNM with the procedures in the OB/GYN and Medical clinics. Assist with daily exams and biopsies. Perform office injections ie; depo, vitamin and rhogam. Utilize the nursing process to effectively assess the needs of the patients. Provide direct and indirect care to the patients and lead the patient care team toward goal achievement. Coordinate care for the patient in need of further assistance ie; patient assistance programs, support groups. Excellent communication skills leadership, time management and problem solving skills required. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Delivers care to patients with empathy and in a caring manner.
Interacts well with patients family members.
Proactive in informing appropriate personnel of patient issues and actively obtaining information if not readily available.
Performs procedures with ease and understands the patients' needs.
Work as a Healthstart C! oordinator with the patients to get referrals to SS,dietary,WI! C, etc.
Complete Patient Risk Assessment at first new OB visit to insure patients have been informed of program available for them during their pregnancy.
Assess patient pain level at each visit.
Performs injections with no assistance.
Can be relied on for proper labeling of patient's specimens.
Can enter and obtain labs /US/ X-rays with no assistance.
Will stock and clean rooms on a daily basis.
Can work independently when asked and get any job done in a timely manner.
Must possess a current New Jersey RN license
At least one-year experience in a OB/GYN/Clinic nursing setting preferred.
BCLS preferred.
Health Start Case Management preferable.
