For detail informations about this career opportunity please read the description below. The Jewish Renaissance Medical Center is a Federally Qualified Health Center located in Perth Amboy, NJ. We primarily serve the uninsured and the underserved communities. We are looking to hire a full time Family Prac! tice Physician to our practice to work primarily in the Internal Medicine Department. This person will occasionally see Pediatric patients and will be required to see patients of all ages.
Duties include but not limited to:
1. Provide and coordinate all aspects of patient care as defined by their specialty, including: responsibility for proper maintenance of the medical record (i.e. charting); problem follow-up; and arranging for and coordinating specialty consultations.
2. Serve as major medical resource with their own area of expertise to other JRMC providers. This will involve direct supervision of nurse practitioners, as needed, as well as acting as medical consultant to other JRMC providers when required, and keeping up-to-date in the individual specialty and actively sharing new knowledge.
3. Share responsibility with other JRMC providers (as designated by the Medical Director) for the following:
a. Development and mainte! nance of a referral system between hospital providers,
e. Physicians at the JRMC will have overall responsibility for the provision and coordination of patient care as defined by their specialty (i.e., Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, OB/GYN, and Family Medicine). This includes:
a. Provision of health maintenance services.
b. Diagnosis and management of disease.
c. Arranging for and coordinating specialty consultations.
e. Serving as major medical resources within their own areas of expertise to other JRMC providers. This involves direct supervision of nurse practitioners, as needed, as well as acting as medical consultants to other JRMC members when required.
f. Participating in on-call system to insure continuity of care.
g. Develop and implement a quality assurance program.
Requirements:
1. New Jersey State License, CDS and DEA
2. Board Eligibility or Certification.
! 3. Orientation toward primary care delivery.
4. Previous work experience in a comprehensive health care setting.
5. CPR certification
