Saint Barnabas Medical Center is seeking a Director for its Northern New Jersey Simulation Center . The Center provides regional access to ! simulation training for physicians, residents, medical students, midwives, nurses and nursing students . The state-of-the-art simulation laboratory uses high fidelity computer controlled wireless training mannequins and is outfitted with a computerized digital audio-visual recording and playback system to provide trainees’ immediate feedback on their performance during scenarios. Reporting to the Medical Director, the Director is responsible for planning, implementing and executing the major training programs of the Center as well as its overall operation including, but not limited to, business planning, market research, performance data collection and analysis, budget preparation and oversight, staffing plans, and equipment procurement and maintenance.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess: Masters Degree in a clinical health profession with appropriate, active NJ license. Demonstrated understanding of a clinical practice (obstetrics p! referred). Demonstrated experience in medical or nursing simul! ation education including curriculum development, course preparation, presentation and evaluation. Hospital management experience preferred. Strong organizational skills. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; both written and verbal. Proficiency with Microsoft Office; ability to adapt quickly to new software / technology. Position may require regional travel.
