The Project Manager position is responsible for the leadership and development of local and global cross-functional project teams and timelines for US Products. The individual will work in a highly matrixed environment requiring strong collaborative, negotiating and interpersonal skills. Project coordination with global affiliates will be a strong part of the position. This position reports to the Sr. Director of Project Management.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Leading and managing the architecture, people, processes, timelines and budgets for all allocated projects.
- Communicate with frequency to the Sr. Director of Project Management the status of each project and a review of outstanding issues.
- Ensure the quality of representation on each team and to provide training and development when and where appropriate.
- Participate in both local and global project teams. Participate in the overall planning process with particular attention to project complexity and the capabilities of team members.
- Ensure projects are managed appropriately, on time and within budget.
- A Bachelors degree in life sciences is required; an advanced degree is strongly preferred and PMP certification is highly desirable.
- A minimum of 4 years of cross-functional project management experience in pharmaceutical development with increasing levels of responsibility. Experience in late-stage development a plus, as is experience in infertility, GI and Urology.
- Track-record of managing successful projects in parallel across therapeutic categories and geographic regions.
- Excellent oral/written communication and presentation skills.
- A team player with an inclusive/collaborative management style. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a matrixed, multinational organization.
- Good analytical skills and detail oriented. Solid project management skills combined with an equally strong systems orientation.
- Clear leadership skills, decisive, results-driven and an ability to resolve conflicts.
- Expertise in MS Office, including MS Project essential. Previous experience in OPX2 preferred.
