Purpose of position:
The Gerber Nutrition Representative will be responsible to create awareness and gain medical recommendations for Gerber Start Healthy Stay Healthy Nutrition System and Gerber Good Start Infant Formulas, while always recommending breastfeeding as the optimal source of infant nutrition. The Gerber Nutrition Representative will be expected to meet sales goals (determined by management) by driving hospital business and generating demand through phone contact, e-mail, webinars etc. Primary focus will be Hospitals, Pediatricians and OB Offices that the PNRs are not physically calling on. The Gerber Nutrition Representative must have a credible knowledge the healthcare environment with strong selling, organization, and communication skills. The expectation is to remove contact/time responsibilities from PNRs so they can focus 100% of their time in high priority accounts.

Major Responsibilities:
TeleMarketing Medical Detailing (60%) Meet sales goals by proactively calling on assigned customers to drive business opportunities (ex: Conversion and GAB Goals) Handle all inbound calls/inquiries from medical channel based on segmentation strategy (MDs, Hospitals and gerber.medical.com website). Proactively and strategically capitalize on opportunities to 'upsell' healthcare professional to grow recommendations (ie: introduce new products) Qualify and covert HealthCare Professional and Hospital along hospital continuum.

Administrative (25%) Ensure SAP number and Pricing Agreements are created and assigned correctly active TeleMarketing Accounts Manage office OB Sample Orders, based on segmentation strategy Maintain Siebel Database with current contact and account information Forecast for all TeleMarketing Accounts Medical Sample Efficiency and Effectiveness

Special Projects (10%) Special Projects as determined by management team (ex: Profiling expansion territories, accounts currently not covered. Manage non-called on hospitals and open territories. Provide WIC-IN coverage to pre-qualify hospital attributes Provide in-person territory coverage as needed during extended territory vacancy periods.

Training (5%) Attend and participate in appropriate training classes, where you may have to travel for a week or more.

Position Requirements:
This position requires knowledge equivalent to that which would normally be acquired by completing a 4-year college degree program in a science-related field (nursing, biology, nutrition,chemistry) or in marketing or business administration.

Candidates should have 2 to 3 years experience in the clinical/healthcare environment.

Sales experience is preferred.

Articulate, assertive, self-motivated, confident, strong interpersonal skills and demonstrate creative thinking and problem solving skills.

Good business acumen is a requirement, as is the ability to adapt well within rapidly changing work and industry environment. Extensive computer skills a plus.

Comfort discussing issues with physicians, dietitians, nurses and other clinical professionals.

Basic minimum work schedule: Monday ' Friday, 40 hours per week with additional hours as necessary. Some weekend work is required.

Must be able to travel to assigned meetings and to provide territory coverage as needed.

Ability to read, listen and communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing.

Ability to stand, walk, sit continuously to perform essential functions for an eight hour-plus shift.

Ability to distribute samples as needed to physician offices and hospitals

Preferred

Clinical Credentials (RD, RN, IBCLC, CMR) Business Credentials (MS, MBA) Experience calling on Hospitals and Health Care Professionals preferably pediatricians, neonatologists, and OBGYN's. Pharmaceutical Sales Expertise. Bilingual a plus (preferably Spanish ) Experience working in a call center or in Telesales
