A progressive Hospital in New Jersey is now hiring for a motivated Medical Surgical Nurse Director for the inpatient Medical Surgical and Orthopedic units. Nurse leaders with a background in Step-down, MedSurg or Orthopedics are encouraged to apply.
The Medical Surgical Nurse Director will join a 135-bed facility affiliated with an esteemed academic hospital. This technology-advanced hospital includes the following departments: Breast Center, Cancer Care, Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation, Cardiology, Center for Bariatric Surgery, Center for Joint Replacement, Imaging and Diagnostics, Maternity, OB/GYN, Plastic Surgery, Primary Care, Sleep Center, Surgical Services, Therapy Services, and a Wound Care Center.
The Medical Surgical Nurse Director will be responsible for providing direction to nursing staff within the Orthopedic and Medical Surgical Units as well as the facilitation of teamwork and communication across the departments. Additional responsibilities include maintaining budget control and policy and procedure implementation. This role will assist the Chief Nursing Officer to help achieve goals of the department and the organization.
