Due to the construction of a brand new manufacturing facility, we are currently recruiting for an experienced Safety, Health and Environmental Engineer for a 6 month + Contract to Hire position based in Parsippany, NJ. This position is paying a generous hourly rate dependant on experience and qualifications.
You will be responsible for preparing, implementing and maintaining a Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) compliance program for this new 200 staff facility in Parsippany, NJ. You will be responsible for the assessment for determining the SHE needs and requirements for the facility and operations proposed for the facility primarily processing of API parenteral pharmaceutical drugs in an aseptic processing environment. You will also identify applicable SHE compliance, permitting and program needs.
You wil! l have 5 â€" 8 years of relevant experience as a Safety, Healt! h and Environmental Engineer from an industry sector such as diagnostics, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, oil and gas or similar. You must have a 4 year bachelors degree with a major in physical science, life science, engineering, safety, industrial hygiene, with CIH and any other professional certifications very strongly desirable. Knowledge, interpretation, and application of laws and regulation is also a must, as well as the ability to identify issues and make sound decisions under conditions of risk and uncertainty.
