Leads and provides oversight and training on the use of Oracle Financials in the US Controller organization in „Super User“ role. This requires an advanced knowledge of the Oracle system from Purchasing to Accounts Payable to General Ledger to Fixed Assets on both a transactional accounting and reporting level. Primary accountant for Ferring Production Inc., ensuring accuracy and integrity in financial reporting to the Ferring Group. Responsible for accounting on a $120M capital project for new manufacturing facility. Lead interface on internal and external audits relating to Internal Controls and financial reporting for Ferri! ng Production.
1. Lead on the use of Oracle in US Con! troller organization as „Super User“.
2. Primary point of contact with Oracle system administration and Development on issues which cannot be resolved locally.
3. Perform training for new/existing employees on Oracle, including but not limited to: presentations, training on corporate SOPs, testing and validation work for all areas in Finance (AP, AR, FA, CM, GL and PO)
4. Play a significant project team role bridging users and developers in further Oracle implementations for US entities
Develop expertise in the Noetix reporting database with ability to create and modify ad hoc queries
1. Prime responsibility for the Production Company’s set of books, ensuring their accuracy.
2. Initiate and prepare general ledger entries and fixed asset and account reconciliations to ensure integrity, including research & resolution of related issues & variances in those accounts.
3. Analyze & Prepare Production P&L and Balance Sheet fluctuation
4. Prepares, analyzes and monitors revenue and/or expense transactions and provide timely variance analysis explanations between actual and budget results
5. Present monthly results to Finance leadership
6. Interface with auditors in their examination of Production books and provide requested analyses and reconciliations
7. Prepares proper account coding for invoices and other financial transactions
1. Prepare, analyze & report Production monthly financial results into Group’s Reporting DIMA/COGNOS reporting system
2. Ensure integrity of data transmitted to Group and consistency with local journals
3. Perform, analyze and reconcile Production inter-company accounting
Special projects, to support upper management, for which parameters are not defined and require independent decision making.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance
- 5 years accounting experience
- Broad exper! ience in general ledger accounting, payables, receivables, fixed assets! a plus
- Good understanding of accounting concepts and principles
- Strong background in ERP financial sytems is required, with Oracle preferred
- Experience in implementing an ERP system a plus
- Advanced Excel skills
