Detailed specification about this occupation opportunity kindly read the description below. Qualifications: Master’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science or a related field. Graduation from a Physician Assistant Program! approved by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP). Certification from the National Commission for Certification by Physician Assistants (NCCPA). New Jersey Licensed from the State Board of Medical Examiners-Physician Advisory committee. Prior experience in clinical medicine is preferred. In the case of a new graduate, they may be considered under the condition that he/she successfully takes and passes the Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and the New Jersey License examination from the State Board of Medical Examinersâ€"Physician Assistant Advisory Committee on the first available date following his/her graduation. All requirements must be met prior to employment with the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.
Responsibilities: The primary purpose of the Physician Assistant- Surgical position is to assist in the direct care of gynecology patients while unde! r the direct supervision of a licensed physician. Predominantl! y assists, manages and supports Gynecology staff. The physician assistant will be dedicated to full service clinical support of gynecology staff including pre-operative, intra-operative and post-operative assistance for general gynecology and specialty services including uro-gynecology, reproductive choice (TOP) and reproductive endocrinology. The physician assistant will provide assistance, management and support of gynecology staff in the inpatient service, emergency department and office setting for operative and non-operative activities.
